I got my husband the Varia because he does those long rides.
I also got him the rechargeable pump which he says “you need to keep it charged”
I was on a ride with friends and she had tubeless tires. We tried the rechargeable pump when we had to finally resort to a tube. It didn’t have enough pressure to seat her tire and we wind up using CO2. Though I’ve had other friends rave about theirs.
My varia is as important as my bike computer and hydration to be honest - if i forget to turn it on i always stop as soon as possible - even on races where its a closed course it feels weird without it
I keep thinking about a mini pump but I’m running tubeless so sounds like i need more research
@PaleGail Drew and I are tubless and use the mini-pump- never had an issue. Some of our IRL friends like the Pro version better (also on sale), but I am happy with mine.
