Adding to this thread upon reflection of several folk’s post on the September Discussion thread. This thread has addressed questions we need to consider when we struggle with a workout or race but I think, at least for me, I need to add an additional one about what stress or emotional issue is happening in addition to the physical elements mentioned, especially the day after day stresses. Now that for most of us “real life” has come crashing back in, I think we could use some discussion on workout adjustments or whatever is needed to help with the ongoing mental or emotional stresses that affect our workouts or races. I started reading a book @Coach_Theia recommended called Mind Gym and don’t know if it will address some of that. But in the mean time, what are you guy’s thoughts or tips from experience. Obviously @Coach_Theia can certainly comment on this from her experience and wisdom.
