Here is the body check shorthand that I came up with:
Down: heels down, engage hamstrings for the “scrape” back of the pedal stroke
Down: relax shoulders and let them drop down.
Deep: focus on breathing into the “deeper” parts of the lungs. This was suggested to me by Don Saroff and I’ve been working on it. It takes my mind off the other pain.

So: Down, down, deep!

I’m going to try to work on some imagery to go along with the mantra.

So I was thinking before you said it- shoulders relaxed!!! Deep breathing is important but if shoulders are in the ear lobes NOT getting the best deep breath!
