@kellynoelharman yes, that is a good idea. I unapplied Plan 7and will share extension weeks to carry you through the start of Fit & Festive.
Well done @Silje! Glad your trainer made it to end of the race!
My team had our best outing yet in the TTT. There were 5 of us and we managed to all keep together until there was about 4 miles left and one of the ladies on the team was out of gas and dropped. So the remaining 4 of us cranked it to the end. Throughout the race we made a number of really clean passes and actually got thanked by those teams for doing it so well. I canāt say the same about some of the teams that passed us, one especially did such a horrible job straggling one by one through my team and then they slowed down in front of us so their trailing people could catch up which split my team and made us slow waaay down waiting for them to get clear. We lost a chunk of time because of them. Grr. But overall it was fantastic fun and we finished tired but energized. Hereās my race timeline, you can totally see near the end how much we had to slow because of the bad pass from the other team
Thank you
Awesome race reports @Stefanie and @Silje! Need to plan your first week in December carefully for those also doing the Tour of Boudicca. In fact, better to skip workouts all that week, and just light openers on Thursday.
I am not doing TdB or Fearless or the WTRL TTT Championship. Steady on with ZRL only for the remaining 4 races.
While her RD understands (and is supportive of the decision), sheās disappointed at the same time
@PaleGail sounds like you have been super busy with the new responsibilities!
@Silje and @Stefanie what great reports. @Stefanie that must have been frustrating, but not sure if as frustrating as your trainer falling apart, but wondering if that group just isnāt as skilled at passing as they thought. Yours and @Siljeās team seem to have it together in so many ways.
@Coach_Theia I am planning to do the tour de Boudicca. I feel like I need to prove to myself that I can. Iāve been doing all this training with you and I should try to put it into practice. I have so much self doubt, I think I need and want to challenge my mental toughness.
@Gossimrr think of it as a ātraining campā of sorts. But you have to prepare for it with enough recovery prior, good nutrition and sleep. From there, itās zero expectations for performance- the only focus is to give your best. Thatās it. Maybe we can talk more about this on Fridayās Q&A.
No TdB, canāt take the day off from work.
Will be racing Fearless and the TTT next week plus the remaining WTRL after the 25th if there is room (they conflicted with my ZA lead).
Fearless Iāll strategize with my team as to goals and where I can be most useful. Itās a long event but Iāve still been doing long events most weekends.
I like USAC but there just isnāt enough to race right now. Currently Iām the only D registers for tonight. I could go C but itās just 2 ppl.
I love my RD, sheās so understanding!
You will have fun in TdB @gosimrr! Itās hard racing three days in a row so you really have to plan your recovery and nutrition. But itās a great challenge and, as you say, a perfect chance to put into practice all the things weāve been learning. And as @Coach_Theia said, zero performance expectations. Donāt decide ahead of time how you will do on the dayās course and race. When I did it over the summer the second race was on a course I would have told you was not my strong suit, and it was one of the best races I have ever had. So lock your doubts up somewhere and just wait and see what happens.
Yes. That sounds like a good plan.
I know it will be tough to get up every day and ride for 3 days straight. And race. I love the idea of riding with my teammates and I enjoyed the experiences in the past. Iāve always done races with one friend and sheās not racing currently. So I think this will be good for me to go out and make connections with other teammates and stop the negative thinking and self doubt. I feel reading in the forum here, that I can race without expectations or predictions.
@Stefanie @Silje great race reports. Keep them coming as I love to hear how others are doing
I didnāt race Tuesday but instead was asked to DS. Which I donāt mind admitting I was terrified about. I think I was more nervous than the ladies racing I was definitely outside my comfort zone and in the second half of the race I became a little quiet.
I also lost track of the order which kinda went out the window as the ladies tired near the end and the stronger ones came forward to take extra turns. One of the ladies was suffering from about half way but hung on till near the end and gave a fantastic strong pull before peeling off from the group. Another rider came forward, pulled as hard and as long as she could before peeling off and the rest of the team sprinted over the finish line. I was exhausted just watching it. It was a fantastic effort from all the ladies. And I managed to take a decent picture
I am doing the same for that race @vivian.a.workman!
@Debbie way to go on DSāing the race!! I am sure your teammates appreciated that. Often times itās less about the guidance itself, and more knowing there is someone there for them.
By the way, did you all see this?? If Premier League gets this sort of thing, imagine Community. Another reason to not worry about results @gosimrr!!
Well, Duncombe rode in āmyā league no later than couple of weeks ago. Not ok!

Yes @Coach_Theia I saw it a couple of days ago I had never heard of the other lady but l had seen Lizi a number of times on YouTube racing. I watch because I want to understand and learn about racing, this is one tip I shall not be emulating
It was interesting reading the report. Those Zwift technicians are really good
Definitely not cool but Iām glad to see the process is working.
I wonder how this could potentially impact them if they have sponsors or are brand ambassadors or such? I know for my ambassadorships I have to opt into the Clean Sport Pledge and a few others. Violations include removal from the team and subsequent loss of sponsorships/discounts with other brands.
A few years back there was a cheating case within the upper level AG for the Ironman races. Long story short a female racer cut course and got caught. She was a member of my TriMafia team. The āGodmotherā and āGodfatherā (itās a theme thing) spoke with her as did a few of the other team leaders. Help was offered multiple times but refused so she was immediately cut and a public statement issued. A lot more to it (not all sport related) and not all went public but her unwillingness to admit her mistakes cost her a lot and not just racing wise. It was a mess and I sincerely hope she got the help she needed.
DS, whatās that?
A directeur sportif (French for sporting director, although the original French term is often used in English-language media; plural directeurs sportifs) is a person directing a cycling team during a road bicycle racing event
I got this off the interent as I also had no clue what it was
