You do have to click ‘FInal Surge’ after you click Custom under workouts - only my Sat WO moved over
I don’t see Final Surge on that screen. I don’t have a templated workout for Saturday or Friday so maybe that is why?
Oh goodness @nina i misread and my earlier comment was to you - but i tagged @bkolden but to answer her question. - no it will transfer but i missed clicking the ‘AutoSync’ button so that’s i think why my Thurs WO didn’t send - my Sat one did
I looked for the auto sync since you had mentioned you had missed that. I’ll not fret until next week when I have workouts for it to sync. Thanks so much for your help @PaleGail
correct @bkolden
@PaleGail you only see Sat because it shows the next 4 days of WOs and you only have 1
correct - you need to do this step if you want the next 4 days of WOs to auto sync every night. The post explains how to do this. And as of tonight you all have only 1 WO in the next 4 days because I haven’t uploaded any others yet.
@bkolden only workouts with the workout builder will upload.
Yep I knew that and wasn’t expecting any past Sat was trying to explain to the gang that only Sat went over not Thurs because I missed clicking the dot Tues and didn’t do it until Wed I think it was too close on Wed when I did it to pick up Thurs is all
fully expect next week will settle in and work
Still better in the end even if occasionally we have to manually push 1 WO at least to me
The Final Surge sync is cool, but I didn’t initially realize that I still need to hit the three little buttons. Then I see “Push to Zwift” and then a little orange Z shows up to tell me it worked. I opened Zwift to confirm and the first couple workouts are there. I expect the last one will show up when I’m within the 4 days.
I did the Aerobic Sustainabilty w/o this morning and phew, those middle pieces shuffling between just under threshold to over threshold required mental toughness. This is exactly why I signed up for 360Velo. I wouldn’t have hung in there on my own. I would have eased and assumed I wasn’t capable of doing more. But I stayed with it and hit most of my targets. I thought for sure my legs would be too fatigued for solid spring efforts, but I was pleased with my numbers! Speaking of which, I’ve been searching the forum for sprint techniques but I didn’t see anything. Do any of you have suggestions?
Was going to do Saturday’s WO today. But it was gone. I know it was there yesterday, it was the only WO that synced earlier this week to teh FS folder in Zwift. Did it disappear because it was scheduled for yesterday? Sounds a bit strange that it would! I know it was there yesterday, as I almost started it before I realized it was 1:30 long, and not the hour-long one from Thursday, which I had downloaded/uploaded manually.
I¨ve downloaded it manually now, so no problem, I was just a bit surprised!
(PS. I see that Tuesday’s WO has synced. I accidentally started it but saw right away it was teh wrong one when I was on the starting line.)
@laurasibson if you hit the sync button - see my screenshot from above - you wouldn’t have to do the sync using the 3 dots and Push to Zwift - unless you only activate that sync the day before - i think the possible time difference of what Zwift servers are on vs. FS, the ‘4 days’ might not be 4 days from our evening time
Interesting @nina usually they don’t go away - I’ll test it this week since I won’t do the Tues until Wed this week so I’ll see what happens and if i can then just push to zwift if its gone and report back
Just found this in the FS to Zwift integration info
Workouts in Zwift that you have pushed down from Final Surge are automatically removed once the date of the workout has passed. For example, if you have a workout in Final Surge scheduled for today that has been sent to Zwift, when you open Zwift tomorrow that workout will be removed. Once the day of the planned workout has passed, it will no longer be available in Zwift.
So, if we need to move it around, we need to follow this:
If your planned workout schedule in Final Surge changes and you need to edit or delete a planned workout that has already synced down to Zwift that is within the next 4 days, you can make these changes in Zwift by first editing or deleting the workout on your Final Surge calendar. Once you have edited or deleted the workout in Final Surge, you can use the “Manual Workout Push” button listed on the Zwift Auto-Sync setup page in Final Surge to completely update the next 4 days of planned workouts in Zwift. This will update and/or remove any workouts in Zwift that you have edited/deleted within Final Surge in the 4-day window:
Almost beginning to wonder if the old way is best so as to not lose workouts if not done on day planned?
I think for the time being I’m going to stick to “the old way” - I rarely do the WOs on the assigned days because I adjust when I ride each week due to my work schedule. Flexibility is key for me!
Hi Gail, thanks. UPDATE: I had synced but I just double-checked and see that I hadn’t auto-synced. Appreciate the info you shared. But given that they disappear when the day changes, I’ll probably go back to the old way because I often need to change my workout days.
I think it just depends on whether you have to move things around a lot or not and how much you want to mess with it in a week - pick your computer FS/Zwift computer battles
I couldn’t find my WO so I did a push to Zwift. It was then in a Final Surge folder which I didn’t know was there. So I’m assuming that’s why they disappear. They aren’t downloaded.
I was having difficulty loading my WOs to Zwift. They were not auto loading and I also couldn’t push them to load to Zwift. I am not sure if anyone else other than @kswhite and I are having this issue. I contacted FS and this was their response. I did go in and edit the WO as was suggested and it worked. I can still drag them into my Zwift folder like before , but it’s nice to have them auto load. Not sure if it’s an IOS issue but FS didn’t seen to think so. Included the pics of the response
My workout for Tuesday autoloaded to Zwift but my workout for today did not. I downloaded all workout for the week yesterday the “old way” just in case.
mine did not. So I went into Thursday’s WO and changed the “rest” intervals to a low FTP and it autoloaded or loaded when I did a push to Zwift.
@Gossimrr thank you for this info! I will correct these in the workout builder.
